We consider ourselves as a home concierge service.  From our founding 20 years ago through today, our business has grown out of a requirement for trust, discretion, and relationship accompanying the skill of servicing your home.  Our aim is to give you value in the long run and build a trusting relationship in which we work together to keep you, your home, and your estate facilities operating smoothly.  We provide maintenance, repair, and home improvement services; with an emphasis on establishing client partnerships rather than one-offs or bid jobs.  We are not Mr. Quick, Fry Electric, or Lowes.  We probably won't be the cheapest bid for an individual job, but we are extremely confident that we will provide you with the best value over the long run by:

Home Concierge

Our specialty: a catch-all service to help you with your home, not just the house or property. We have assembled furniture and toys, taken vehicles in for service and repair, stocked pantries, waited for important package delivery, and checked in on homes during extended leaves.

Our Rates

Scheduled $90/hr.  After-hours $120/hr.  Emergency $300 fee + hourly rate.  

We believe our rates are by far the best value that you can obtain. Not only are we competitive with average handyman, but we believe our service, skill, and trustworthiness separate us from the rest of the pack.

  • Monthly Inspection of:
    • all sump pumps and battery back ups and battery
    • all air filters
    • salt for softener
    • clean disposal(s)
    • test interior GFCI
    • visual inspection of attic and crawl space (each quarter)
    • replace batteries in smoke detectors (on daylight saving times)
    • vacuum fridge coils (every 6 months)
    • walk interior & exterior (weather permitting) of home for issues or
      concerns.
    • check interior and exterior bulbs (weather permitting)

 

  • Includes:
    • Priority Scheduling of services, before non-members
    •  Online scheduling
    • Concierge services
    • 2 man hours per month
    • additional man hours discounted to $80
    • Humidifier pads (up to 2) ($28 value)
    • 2 MERV 8, or greater, air filters (4” width or smaller) ($52 average value)
    • * Work hours to repair or replace will go towards monthly man hours

 

  • Memberships requirements:
    Credit card on file charged $200 month at the beginning of each month and requires independent access into residence needed for monthly checks. RRS will contact to inform of our day and approval of  arrival.

Services We Provide

Air Filters
+
Check air filters in all HVAC units within house. Replacement as necessary or scheduled.
Disposal Cleaning
+
We apply a cleaning pack to deodorize the disposal and keep foul odors from building up.
Extended Leave
+
Once a week we walk through the main areas of the house to check for things that are out of place, damaged or leaking. We flush toilets and run water periodically to keep drains from drying out and ensure proper function. We replace bulbs and other miscellaneous items a few days prior to arrival. If bad weather occurs we make a special trip to check on property to see if there is any damage due to storm. Houses have a life of their own even when no one is home.
Hot Tub & Pool Chemicals

Weekly check of chemical levels in hot tub and pool. Clean pump filter basket, sand filter, and skimmer baskets. This does not include vacuum of pool or hot tub, although we are able to provide this service at client's request.
Interior GFCI
+
GFCIs can often unknowingly go bad, so we test to make sure the GFCIs trip and reset. (Exterior GFCIs can commonly fail to reset due to rain or moister in the outlet and will function once it dries out, creating a “false fail”. This is not something that is a personal safety hazard like the ones in the interior. )
Schedule of Contractors

We can assist you or manage the responsibility of scheduling the proper specialized contractor to service the correct appliance as needed so you do not have to think about it.
Smoke Detector and CO² test
+
We test each unit to ensure proper function. We will be responsible for changing batteries every 6 months where necessary. We will also service and verify operation of fire extinguishers.
Sump Pumps & Backups
+
We test primary pump float switch and pump for function. We also run a test cycle on the battery to ensure that battery is charging, holding a charge, and ready in the case of power failure.
Visual Inspection of Crawl/Basement/Attic
+
A rudimentary visual inspection only. We are looking for obvious potential areas for concern. E.g. water or high levels of dampness in lower levels, plumbing or ductwork that is disconnected or leaking, light penetration in attic where it should not be, evidence of critters, etc. Additionally, we can schedule a detailed inspection if desired.
Water Filters and Systems
+
Maintain filter and reverse osmosis systems. Replacing or cleaning of cartridges. We can also install this if needed.
Water Heater
+
We visually check heater components for wear or if something is out of place we check pop off valve for function and will perform flush of water heater once a year where necessary.
Water Softener
+
This does not include servicing this appliance, but instead performing routine maintenance on it; checking that it has enough salt and is still running program as set up from original set up. Softener should be periodically serviced by a qualified water treatment specialist.

Concierge Services

This service is a catch-all where we help you with your home and not just the house and property. Services like picking up items from stores. (eg. Order shelves, or toilet, or some other large or heavy item, and then we assemble or install item.) Since trust is developed between you and RRS, we are intimately involved weekly or seasonally with needs. (eg. Carrying down and or set up of some indoor holiday décor, researching best options for special situations of lights or outlets or giving input and knowledge to help you make best decision.) Take your vehicles in for routine service and repair while you are away on vacation. We will fill your fridge and pantry with requested items so you are ready when you return form your trip however long you were gone.

Any ordering or scheduling of services or items that need to be taken off of your plate. Have you ever said “I wish I could have someone pick this item up and take it to the house for me.”
